about Studio:

Bodyelectricdance Studios, established in 2007 as a Beginner-Elementary level dance project, is curated, choreographed and managed by Jade Duffy.

Bodyelectricdance Studios has an all-encompassing philosophy of dance that captivates shares and embraces peoples desire and passion to move and express themselves.

Based in Fitzroy, this diverse group of dancers consists of architects, actors, jewellery designers, entomologists through to filmmakers, teachers and landscape gardeners.

Coming from very different backgrounds and professions there is one thing in common we all share- the passion to dance!

about Jade:

Jade has been dancing since she was three years old. After graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Dance she became a founding member of Anna Smith’s Co.Motion contemporary dance company. She continued to work on project based pieces and has worked with choreographers such as Brett Daffy, Byron Perry, Luke Smiles and Natalie Cursio. Jade was nominated for a Green Room Award as Emerging Artist in 2000.

Jade has been teaching dance for the past fifteen years and is currently Contemporary Dance Lecturer at Box Hill Institute.
